It was one intense week in late October. I probably should’ve slowed our pace but I wasn’t thinking clearly. I had just learned my boyfriend and best friend were engaged via a Facebook post, which left me heartbroken and wrestling with ghosts from my past.

However, unlike me, Belmont Lord was so convincing and uninhibited. Even though he had demons of his own and I was on the rebound, we threw caution to the wind and let the newness of whatever this was happening between us direct our every move. Martha's Vineyard, the end of fall--could Fate have picked a more perfect time and place for two people to meet?

But can our fateful romance survive his secrets? Belmont Lord is a man who always gets what he wants. Secrets or not, he's not going to let me get away that easy.

Honestly, I don't see how so many readers gave this book high marks. It was terrible. The story line was so unbelievable and just plain stupid. Don't waste your time!,

I have read hundreds of books in my life, 2 in just the past week and I have only stopped reading 3. This was one of them. There is no spark, no chemistry between the characters. The THIRTY FIVE year old woman acts like she's 12. They want to get married after 12 hours with each other? She finds out she's pregnant 5 days after she has sex?! Is this a joke? Read about a quarter and literally deleted it from my app. Awful.

There is almost nothing plausable about this book. It’s ridiculous. I cannot even begin to understand where the good reviews are coming from.

I did not enjoy, but maybe someone else will...
  • Great! Except...

I didn't understand the age of the character. That's it! In the beginning, I guess I just expected her to be in her later 20s. I guess it was the fact that she was crying so much and running away from her problems. That made me think she was younger, oh, yeah! And the fact she's never had a orgasm!
  • Find her. Keep her.

This book didn't it for me at all. The plot was way too fast and there wasn't really any romance. Don't even get me started on how a grown woman acted as if she was the protagonist for a young adult novel. There was no character development or chemistry between Belmont and Daisy whatsoever. Daisy claimed she wasn't going to be passive yet still remained passive. I couldn't relate to either one of them. The sex scene were pathetic and immature. There was no passion at all. Thank God this book was free. Do yourselves a favor and check out Maureen Smith. This author should do the same. Maybe she'll learn a thing or two.
