Shelli Adler has known what she wanted since she was eleven years old.
Aiden Brooks.
But Aiden has always had other ideas. After spending the early years of his life without his dad, hockey legend Lucas Brooks, Aiden is determined not to settle for anything less than true love. When he’s ready. Now he’s living the fast life of an NHL bachelor. He won’t give his heart to any one girl, but they can have his body—all night long.
The party to celebrate the start of the second half of the season was supposed to be no different from any other night. And when a stunning stranger approaches him, he can’t seem to keep his hands off her.
The next morning, she’s gone, and he’s been traded to his dad’s former team, the Nashville Assassins. All of his professional dreams are coming true, but he can’t shake the memory of the girl from that last party. He wants to see her again. Though, after moving across the country—and without knowing her name—that dream seems like a puck destined to miss the net.
For Shelli, her night with Aiden was everything she’d ever imagined it could be, and she’s sure it is all about to change for them. But for that to happen…he would have to know who she was.
The Dump was only the beginning. The Chase is worth waiting a lifetime for.

  • I love it but....

I love the book. It is a great story. This is my first time reading about a hockey love story and also learning about hockey and how things are done behind the scenes. The only issue I have with the book is the author made Shelli so desperate for Aiden. Shelli seems like if Aiden didn’t fall in love with her she was going to go crazy. She was basically boy crazy. I didn’t like that. The love should come natural in my opinion. As for Aiden he needs to seek a therapist to figure out his issues because obviously he has so unresolved issues from childhood. But after that it was a great book. I can’t wait for part 2 of their love story because I know it doesn’t end like that. I want to know what happens with the engagement, her broadway shows, Aiden bringing home the cup etc. Good book!

Must read book. I loved Shelli and Aiden’s story. Wish I had an Aiden in my life. Swoon! I laughed and was frustrated along with them. Makes me want to go back and start reading the series again Elli and Fallon’s stories. I love it when authors make the characters come to life. This is for sure one of my fave books! 💕

I’ve been following this series since the beginning have every entry my sister introduced me to you and I’ve introduced my clique. Preorder after preorder tears after tears these love stories are awesome. I appreciate the way you did a twist on Shea and Eli’s store for Aiden and Shelli those two were made for each other. Happy to read about Fallon and Lucas again there book was my all time fav along with The Great Eleanor and Shea. I loved how they grow together hated their meeting but hey when life throws you lemons alway hate the fact that a intimate love scene only happens throughout the books but never the ending a tease of one but never an all time blowout climax lol “the perv in me” haha but great book please keep tell the kids story so we can all hear about our favs from whence if all began can’t wait for your next entry awesome reads. 😘😘😘
  • Epic Love

Wow I just loved this story. Toni is such an amazing author. Her characters have real personality, sass, emotion. You can relate to one or all and you fall in love with some and not so much with others. I loved Aiden as a child and to see him grow to become this young man is amazing. And the Adler bunch just wow I don’t have any other words. Please tell us there will be books on Boone’s, Wes, Benson, Posey, Emery, Asher, maybe Tate and Oooooders kiddos and Phillip and Reese’s? Oh Eric and Pipers would be a hoot as well. I love her Assassins series as I reread it every year as well as the Bellevue Bullies series. I’ll add this generation to the mix. Toni you rock as a writer and as an inspiration to others. I love reading your posts. If this author isn’t on your radar she needs to be. She interacts with her readers in the many different groups and is personable.

This book is absolute perfection! I have been head over heels with Toni’s books since I first read Taking Shots and I truly felt I would never love another couple as much as Shea and Ellie. Well hold my latte! Dump & Chase is the book of the year. Shelli and Aiden’s story flies off the pages and brings together two of the most beloved couples. Thank you for giving us a chance to relive the Assassins beginning and fall in love with the future. This book is filled with wit, passion, sass and a rollercoaster ride of love that only Shelli and Aiden can take you on! Thank you Toni for giving us the family and love story we hope for every day.
  • Like coming home

Reading this book, was like coming home and hanging out with some of my favorite characters.. Loved the chemistry between Shelli and Aiden and how Shelli was so confident. I actually found Aiden very relatable and loved his character and how how they didn’t just rush into love like some books you read.

She shoots she scores! Toni wins the game as an author. I loved this book. She brought back some favorites and then she worked her magic. There wasn’t a part of this book that wasn’t awesome. No love story real or fiction is without fighting and forgiveness. Toni you are amazing. May you be blessed to write more and more books for us hockey lovers.
