Wells Lemiere knew the moment he saw Matty Haverbrooke, he had to have him. Matty was quiet, he was talented, he was beautiful, and Wells couldn’t stay away.
As the youngest and most talented son of the NHL Commissioner, Matty had found the burden of family expectations almost too heavy to carry on even his broad shoulders. He had no intention of getting involved in a relationship with Wells. But the heart he’d given up for dead had other ideas.
Their affair was intense and overwhelming, but when Matty couldn’t bring himself to come out and admit he wanted a public future with the man he loved, Wells had no choice but to honor his vow to live openly…and leave Matty behind.
But then he learns Wells is marrying another, and Matty knows he can't let that happen. Can he throw down his gloves and embrace his future with both hands? Or will he pull the door to his closet shut once more?

Toni did it again! She did amazing telling Wells and Marty’s story. Very tastefully written. Can not wait for the next in the series.

I laughed, I cried...and let’s be honest...I even swooned, amd isn’t that what we want from a great romance! M/F M/M it doesn’t matter because it is Toni’s great story telling that makes you root for the characters and keeps you reading from beginning to end!
  • This is another Toni Aleo HIT!!

Let me start by saying that I absolutely love Toni Aleo! Both her Nashville Assassins and Bellevue Bullies series have made her one of my favorite reads, and this book brings back characters from both of those series. One of the characters Wells, oozed fun to be around right off the page. The other, Matty, let’s just say she had her work cut out for her with him. This is Toni’s first try at the M/M genre and I think she nailed it! Her ability to show the vulnerable and human side of Matty, whom I’d previously disliked, made him so much more understandable in all of his actions. I can’t forgive his previous actions but I understood his motivations much better. And, most important, I could see the reason why Wells fell for him. This book also gave insight into issues the LGBTQ community deal with on a daily basis from both strangers to their own family members. She kept true to the rest of the series before this one, though it can be read as a stand alone. I highly urge you to read this and see if you don’t feel as I do. I look forward to seeing what’s in store next for Wells, Matty, and the rest of the Assassins family.
  • Great read!

This is Toni Aleo's first M/M book and she scores a winning goal! This is such a well done m/m that anyone who has not dipped into the M/M genre yet and wants to, should definitely start here! We have met Matty and Wells already, but if you haven't read that book yet your good! You can read this as a standalone. Matty Haverbrooke and Wells Limiere are in love. These hockey players have found "the one" in each other. But when one part of the couple doesn't want the world and his family to know who he really is and can't acknowledge the love of his life to them, it's a problem. So much so that it breaks these two apart for a while. How do you come back from that? How do you trust after all the mistrust? How do you find the strength to finally be who you really are? Find out how Matty and Wells reconnect in this sweet, emotional and just wonderful book about true love conquering all.
  • Love this highly anticipated story!!!

Every time I read a Toni Aleo book I'm reminded why I love romance, sports romance in particular. I've loved the Assassins & Bellevue hockey series so much! When I saw Two Man Advantage being released, I couldn't wait to read a M/M book written by this talented author! Wells and Matty's story has been highly anticipated...Matty has been a jerk in other books because of many reasons, his family, denying his sexuality...Well when he objected at a certain wedding, I was cheering and OMGing at the same time lol Matty has not told his family and has treated his twin sister Avery in particular so poorly, ugh it's tough to feel for him yet you do! So many feels in this one. This story is filled with a lot of real life drama, things that many people have gone through in their lives. I loved it, highly recommend the entire series although you can read as a standalone. I was glad I had some history with the characters. I love books where secondary characters are well known and loved from previous books. Highly recommend ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
