Kit

Logan wants to know my name, but I can't tell him. I can't tell him anything. There are too many people looking for me. He's pretty persuasive, though, and he convinces me to go home with him so he can keep me safe from this harsh city where I find myself. It's not my home. It's his. He belongs. I don't.

Logan lives with four brothers in the inner city.  Yet I've never felt more safe than I do when I'm with him. I want him. But he won't let me have a darn thing, aside from his friendship, unless I'm willing to tell him my secrets. But they're mine, and I can't share them. Not unless I want them to come and get me.

Logan

She catches my eye because she's so beautiful she takes my breath. But that's not all that I love about her. I love the way she smells. The way she smiles. The way she plays the guitar is unlike anything I have ever seen. She sleeps in my bed every night, and drives me crazy with her touch.  But I can't take what she offers because I need all of her. I need for her to tell me her secrets. I need for her to trust me.

From the back of the book:

She’s locked up tight. But he might be the key.

Logan Reed is tall, tatted and tempting.
Kit’s a woman with a mean right hook and a secret.

Kit wants a tattoo, but Logan sees more than she intends to share in the drawing of the tat she wants.  He sees her in ways no one ever has.

Logan’s not disabled; but he hasn’t spoken in eight years. He hasn’t needed to.
Until he meets Kit.

Logan doesn’t know everything about Kit. Kit doesn’t know anything about herself,
until she has to sacrifice all she ever wanted to save what’s most important to him.

The roles were reversed! The guy was the needy, clingy, pushy, want to change the other person! The girl was the one who layed out how their relationship would be and he still wanted her. Now he’s getting clingy and pushy about every life detail! Absurd and ridiculous

Overall, I really liked this story. I really liked Logan and Emily. They were cute together. There were some unrealistic parts. Like their insta-connection, Logan speaking so clearly, and the fact that they just "happened" to be watching the news at the end - like how did she know they would be watching??? But i really enjoyed the family aspect of the story. The middle was really great. I look forward to reading more in this series.

If I could give this book more than 5 stars I would. I love Logan and Kit/Emily. This is the first book in the Reed Brothers series and I hope it never ends. When Logan and Emily first meet there is an instant attraction, at least on Logan’s part. Emily ends up punching him in the nose. While “Kit” keeps secrets, Logan will not do much more than be her friend. They sleep in the same bed every night but when anything heated begins he pulls back. He wants her to trust him and until she tells him her name he won’t believe she does. Emily is running from things in her past and until she thinks she can stand up for herself she is not going to tell anyone who she really is. I love how Tammy writes people that others may see as lacking and makes you see they are not. This book ends in a cliffhanger but don’t let that stop you, it is well worth the read.

This is the best series I’ve read in a LONG LONG time. I have to say that each character makes my heart melt. But this author is very funny, too. Scenes are sensual but full of emotion. I will say that after reading all the books, this first story is STILL my favorite. And they’re ALL really really good.
